From top amateur to professional, fighting under the Matchroom Boxing banner, trained by Dave Coldwell in Sheffield, Hopey Price is set to take the boxing world by storm. Training alongside the likes of Jordan Gill, Anthony Fowler, Derek Chisora and Tony Bellew has really brought Hopey on.
We have been making Hopey and his brothers boxing shorts since they were really young kids. Always coming down to the studio to design their boxing shorts, its great to see fighters go from amateur to professional and how they grow.
Hopey Price made an impressive start to his professional career under the guidance of Eddie Hearn on the final Anthony Crolla fight at the Manchester Arena. Going from there, he fought on the massive Anthony Joshua v Andy Ruiz fight card in Saudi Arabia.

Hopey loves white and loves the white wetlook style fabric we stock. We decided to trim it with red, blue and gold fancy trims and it looks amazing, so effective.

Hopey Price is actually called Ivan as his birth name, coming from a traveller family he never knew this until going to the doctors one day with his mum and the doctor calling Ivan Price. Due to this he has acquired the nickname ‘Drago’ from his gym buddies and it’s stuck.
We went for a treble outline embroidery on the name to get all the boxing shorts colours in, it’s super effective and embroidery always gives the feeling of a more luxury, well made product. It’s a true sign of Suzi Wong craftmanship.
