BESPOKE BOXING KIT FOR IBRAHIMA DIALLO WITH A PERSONAL FLARE
Recreating this style for diallo
Diallo approached our design team wanting to re-create his fathers boxing kit he wore back when he was in the ring but with a modern twist. This bespoke beauty was the outcome of this discussion. Here at Suzi Wong we love anything that reflects your loved one or heritage. We was touched that Diallo wanted to honour his father with his kit and the results looked amazing.
We created a classic satin short with gold wetlook side panels and waistband, making the panels flow into the waist. The shine of the wetlook sets off the look of this boxing kit. We trimmed the kit in gold and did the waistband in a red and covered in red Austrian Crystals. We created a golden head tie with red sparkle text printed onto the front of the head tie, adding some accessories to the kit’s look.
The ring jacket to match the shorts was a statement piece. We removed the hood to create a golden collar and added pieces to the front to give the illusion of a folded collar. We also added golden epaulette to the shoulders to create a uniform look. The front of the jacket had a gold sparkle diamond printed to the lower corner of the jacket and the sparkle name to the back. The name of the back was dazzled in gold Austrian Crystals to make the fighters ring name stand out. This was a fun kit to recreate and we are very happy we could carry on a family tradition.
