Tyson Fury Ricky Hatton Tribute Boxing Kit

When Tyson Fury stepped out in this custom kit, it was built to represent more than just fight night.

This was a tribute piece. A nod to Ricky Hatton, one of the most loved fighters British boxing has ever seen.

Designed and made in-house by the Suzi Wong team, every element of this kit was carefully considered to balance performance, presence and meaning.

Take a look behind the scenes into the making of this kit in our blog post here >

The Design

The brief was clear. Create something that reflects Hatton’s identity while still fitting Fury’s size, movement and presence in the ring.

We built the kit around a strong black satin base, layered with bold sky blue panels inspired by Manchester. The contrast gives the kit its impact under lights while keeping the look sharp and controlled.

Key details include:

  • “GYPSY KING” branding across both shorts and jacket
  • “3:16” detail on the rear of the shorts
  • Manchester-inspired colour palette
  • Union Jack side panels
  • Clean sponsor placement for fight night visibility

Every element had to work from every angle, from ring walk to centre ring.

The Jacket

The robe was built to carry the full presence of the tribute.

A black satin body is paired with vibrant blue metallic panels, finished with white fringe detailing across the sleeves for movement during the walkout.

The back features a bold “GYPSY KING” crest, designed to hold its shape and visibility under arena lighting and broadcast conditions.

The hood was finished in matching blue, framed with detailed trim work to bring the full look together.

The Shorts

The shorts were designed for both performance and visual impact.

Lightweight satin construction allows full freedom of movement, while structured panels keep the shape clean during the fight.

The front panel carries sponsor placements, while the waistband features bold embroidered “GYPSY KING” lettering. Side panels bring in the Union Jack and Manchester blue to tie the full concept together.

Craftsmanship and Build

Every part of this kit was made by hand in our studio.

From embroidery and applique work to fringe application and finishing, the process is built around precision. The close-up detailing, stitching, and material selection all play a role in how the kit performs and how it looks on camera.

This is what separates a standard kit from a fight-night piece.

Built for the Biggest Stage

This wasn’t just a custom boxing kit. It was built for one of the biggest names in the sport, on a global stage.

The aim is always the same. Deliver a kit that feels right the moment the fighter puts it on.
