Super Middleweight Southpaw John Ryder has been using Suzi Wong for his bespoke boxing kits for many years. As great friends with Suzi Wong wearer Ricky Burns, we have welcomes John into the design studio on several occasions, and when he can’t come down to the studio we arrange designs and ideas over email.

The journey so far

Of recent years John has really announced himself on the world scene, former opponents including Rocky Fielding, Jamie Cox and  fighting over in Las Vegas winning the WBA Interim title he secured a fight with WBBS Super Series Winner and World Champion Liverpools Callum Smith.   Overlooked he felt by Callum and his team, John put in an amazing performance and took Callum the 12 rounds, demanding an immediate rematch after the result went Callum’s way, many thinking John just stole it.

Favourite custom boxing kit?

"My favourite kit was when I boxed under the bright lights of Lax Vegas, USA. I had a white leather kit with the colours of the Union Jack running through it."
