Anthony Crolla, affectionately known as “Million Dollar,” is one of British boxing’s most respected and inspiring figures. Rising through the domestic ranks, he captured the British lightweight title before reaching the pinnacle of the sport by becoming WBA World Lightweight Champion in 2015.
Crolla’s career was defined by determination, resilience, and heart – battling back from a life-threatening head injury to defeat Darleys Pérez and claim world honours. He went on to share the ring with world-class opponents including Jorge Linares, Vasyl Lomachenko, Gavin Rees, and Derry Mathews, earning admiration for his grit and sportsmanship. Over the course of 45 professional fights, Crolla cemented his legacy as a true Manchester hero and a symbol of perseverance in the boxing world.
